According to James C. Capretta and Tom Miller over at Economic Policies for the 21st Century, the tax raises due to Obamacare will be astronomical for middle class families over the next few years in order to help a marginal number of people. Evidently, in return for paying these taxes, the middle class families themselves will actually be receiving worse Medicare benefits than their parents. Does anyone else see something wrong with this?
Perhaps the candidates have reached a consensus in order to completely eradicate health care for the middle class over the next decade. Even if that wasn't a mutual agreement between them, they are both definitely paving the path towards achieving that goal.
Well, I must say that you definitely have the point here. The latest post by your blog (the comparison of Obama Care and RomneyCare) shows that those 2 plans are very similar..It is obvious that both candidates are trying to drug all middle class Americans into buying an insurance, and methods for doing this are very similar - penalties to the employer and the employee. The question rises again : why American people should be forced to buy anything, even insurance?..Basically people wouldn't have a choice with either candidate..
ReplyDeleteAnna, I definitely agree with you here: we don't have a choice with either candidate. It's basically the lesser of two evils and who knows which that is at the current time.
